Holy cow, who knew 3,935 words would take so long to write! I swear, I started this thing like a week ago and just finished now. It's crazy. Also, this started going on my playlist as I was finishing up, and damn, it's perfect.
Another experimentation, this time in tone. I tried for a slower pace. Then Alec showed up and kept trying to speed things along, so there might some dichotomization in the tone about a fourth of the way through.
